The 2021 American Society of Human Genetics conference was held virtually from October 18-22, 2021. Dr. Sandra Sanchez-Roige chaired a session entitled ‘ Cross-ancestry genomic research: Time to bridge the gap’ which covered recent efforts to address the issue of the ancestry imbalance in genomic research. The session was attended by over 700 conference participants.
