Mariela joined the lab in July 2020. She is a full-time data analyst interested in using large datasets and various bioinformatic analyses to further our understanding of the genetics of substance use disorders. She hopes the insights we gain from research can aid the prevention and treatment of substance abuse. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga, hiking, and the constant San Diego sunshine.
